Embodied Anatomy LAB®

Structure,
functions
and movement

Overview

The Embodied Anatomy Labs are about directly experiencing the bodies structure, functions and movement. They are a deep dive into our systems operations, combining the latest in scientific discovery along side practical hands on investigation. We know that the individual is the true expert on their system, our teaching therefor centres felt sensory experience, play and embodied experimentation. This helps simplify the complexity of anatomy distilling it to its essence.

Even the word understanding points us to the surface below our feet, highlighting the importance of being grounded and in connection with our environment when I comes to building and developing knowledge. We understand that to expand beyond existing assumptions we have to find and feel our way back to to the body as a source of knowing. TRE actively unarchives the wisdom that lies within us so when combined with scientific research makes previously unimagined concepts apparent and usable, clinically, creatively and in daily life.

Planned for 2023

Balance and the Diaphragms

30th September and 1st October

Hybrid workshop - online and in person in London.

The goal of this workshop is to deepen our understanding about the role of the Diaphragm in human body and in TRE.

We will explore anatomical interconnectedness of the Diaphragm and Cervical spine with surrounding organs and tissues. You will learn to recognise specific patterns in your own and clients body.

Through practical exercises and TRE we will explore our own body in more depth and develop more awareness and subtlety. We will learn how to use gentle but powerful interventions to help deepen our own and clients process.

If you’re interested in this course please email us and we will get back to you with further details and how to book.

The Psoas and Pelvis

Date to be confirmed

Hybrid workshop - online and in person

The goal of this workshop is to deepen our understanding about the foundational role of Psoas and Pelvis in human body and in TRE®. Often this area of the body holds excess emotional and energetic charge and limits the natural movements.

We will explore anatomical interconnectedness of the psoas and the pelvis with surrounding systems, organs and tissues. We will also learn about the connections between our pelvic area, body sensations, deep seated emotions and heightened or dissociated sense often present in that area of the body.

Through practical exercises we will learn how to use gentle but powerful interventions to help deepen our own and client process and facilitate possible resolutions.

If you’re interested in this course please email us and we will get back to you with further details and how to book.

Fascia LAB®

Fascia LAB is a fluid interdisciplinary research project, looking at connection and adaption in the material and social body. This is where we play, speculate and think openly together by inviting in influences from other fields artistic and theoretical.

Emergent Structures LAB®

This Lab is where we do the work of thinking about change beyond just the individual system and what it actually means when we say personal and collective healing are deeply intertwined.
