TRE, Primitive reflexes and Brain development

TRE, Primitive reflexes and Brain development

Developmental trauma, accidents, falls, abuse or neglect, can and does effect child’s brain and body development. Primitive reflexes, Reactions and Responses are fundamental part of our survival and attachment strategies.

Trauma of any kind can and does effect these strategies, causing the retention, underdevelopment and modification of these strategies. Retained Primitive Reflexes can ripple through the body and fill a child and an adult with paralysing anxiety and panic that can carry through entire life.

How Primitive Reflexes affect the Brain, Body and our Attachment/ Bonding with ourselves and others?

What strategies can we use to correct it?

Which Brain and Body regions regulate and control these unconscious, involuntary movements and how do we restore the imbalances?

Workshop content:

• Learn about 10 Primitive Reflexes, how to test for them and how to integrate them with simple, effective interventions and movements.

• Learn how Primitive Reflexes, Righting Reactions and Survival Responses affect your Brain, Body, Posture and Attachment strategies and practice simple interventions to improve it.

• Learn why TRE® is so helpful in restoring Motor and Sensory systems and how can we use it with more efficacy.

Explore and Embody 8 Developmental Stages with TRE

In this new and exciting fortnightly class, Cheda will be guiding us through 8 developmental stages.

It comes in response to the call for a deep, active exploration. We will be enquiring into Erik Erikson’s psychosocial theory and building upon it with our personal and emotional content.

We will then begin to allow for somatic integration of the parts of ourselves which have not been acknowledged or completed through each stage.

We’ll be using TRE® and other somatic practices to expand our awareness of our body and of our deeper patterns.

This series will be a deep but playful path of self-discovery and self-acceptance.

Participant numbers are limited to 12 to ensure an intimacy of the teaching.

This is a series of 8 online sessions via zoom running fortnightly over 14 weeks, from Saturday 13th April till Saturday 20th July 2024.
